St. Francis Career College (SFCC) has provided an opportunity for young people and adults in our community to develop successful and satisfying careers in healthcare.

- January 20, 2005: First graduating class of SFCC-San Jose
- 2004 SFCC-San Jose accreditation and licensing approved
- 2004 Patient Care Institute Established
- 2004 U.S.ED Financial Aid Program Approved - SFCC-San Jose
- 2003 Completed SFCC campus expansion (Lynwood)
- 2003 SFCC-San Jose enrolled first VN class of 32 students
- 2002 Awarded the CHA National Achievement Citation
- 2002 Initiated planning for SFCC- San Jose
- 2001 Community Education Initiative established
Historical Milestones
- In June 2001, SFCC was awarded "The Achievement Citation" — Catholic Healthcare Association's Highest National Award for Community Service.
- SFCC was certified by the U.S. Department of Education, in April 2000, to participate in the Federal student grants and loan program.
- In 1999, the Emergency Technician course was added to the college curriculum.
- SFCC was granted Accreditation in August 1999, by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology without stipulations.
- Approved by the Board of Registered Nurses (BRN) in 1998 to provide continuing education.
- Accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology on August 17, 1998 with no stipulations.
- Approved by the Board of Vocational Nurse and Psychiatric Technician (BVNPTE) in 1997 as a provider of continuing education.
- Accredited by the State of California Department of Health Services on December, 1996 National Certified Proctor Site by the National Center for Competency Testing (Phlebotomy National Testing).
- Licensed to operate as an educational institution by the Bureau for Private Post-secondary and Vocational Education on March 3, 1996.
- Accredited by Board of Vocational Nurse and Psychiatric Technician Examiners on February 1993.
- SFCC was established in 1989 with 14 students enrolled in the LVN Program.
