Before your hospital stay, we recommend that you pre-register, arrange for insurance, and take maternity and parenting classes. Being prepared will help you be more at ease so you can focus on yourself and your new baby.

Pre-Registration
The pre-registration form has all the important information needed at the time of your hospital admission. Pre-Registration will help simplify your admission process. Please fill out this form by your 7th month of pregnancy. Make sure to include a copy of your insurance card(s) with your form and send it to the Family Life Center.

Insurance
If you have hospitalization insurance, we will bill your insurance company for you. Be sure to check with your insurance company to see if they require a pre-admission authorization or have special instructions for you to follow before your delivery. All co payments will be collected upon admission.

Childbirth Education
Getting ready for a baby is an awesome responsibility. We offer a variety of classes that will prepare you for childbirth and motherhood. You'll learn what to expect during labor and delivery. To sign up for our education and Lamaze classes call 1-800-603-9355 for specific times and details.

Getting Ready
To help you be more at ease when your labor begins, pack for you and your baby three to four weeks in advance. You and your doctor will decide on your actual stay, but generally the length of stay for a vaginal delivery is 1-2 days. For a cesarean section the average length of stay is 3 days.
Here's what to pack for you:

bras and panties
pajamas, bathrobe, slippers and socks
toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, hairbrush, lotion, shampoo)
glasses or contacts and solution
comfortable clothes to wear home
camera
important phone numbers
Here's what to pack for your baby:
- going home outfit
- receiving blanket
- diapers
- infant car seat
