Our Services

St. Francis Medical Center provides inpatient and outpatient hospital services to the communities of Southeast Los Angeles. We have been offering quality health care, close to home, for 75 years.

St. Francis Medical Center is proud to partner with Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) and UCI Health for Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and high-risk deliveries.

Through this partnership, more than 70 board-certified neonatologists, newborn hospitalists and high-risk OBs will be accessible through in-person and virtual consults, increasing St. Francis Medical Center’s capacity to care for women with complex pregnancies and critically ill infants. Together, we will ensure that the highest level of care is being provided to every newborn in the St. Francis NICU, with access to the latest treatments in maternal-fetal medicine.

Our state-of-the-art Level II NICU cared for over 800 babies last year.

We are:

  • One of the largest and busiest emergency and Level II trauma centers in Los Angeles County, treating more than 80,000 emergencies and 2,000 trauma injuries a year.
  • Approved by the Los Angeles County Emergency Medical Services Agency as a Primary Stroke Care Center and a STEMI-Receiving Center.
  • Certified Baby-Friendly by Baby-Friendly USA, ensuring moms and their babies receive optimal care during those first precious days.
