Family Life Center Comprehensive Services

St. Francis Medical Center is here when you need us for life's most special moments. We deliver more than 5,000 babies every year and we have a Level III NICU, ensuring that you and your family receive expert care while welcoming a new baby into your home. Our Family Life Center offers warm and comfortable private rooms, special amenities, and complete obstetrical care. We are certified Baby-Friendly® which helps set the foundation for a healthy childhood for your baby.

Pre-registration

For maternity patients, download the pre-registration form here - English | Spanish. Fax your completed registration form to 310-900-8205 or email to SFMC-FamilyLifeCenter@primehealthcare.com.

Parking and Directions

We offer free parking for your convenience. The Family Life Center building is located on the corner of Imperial Highway and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

You can also come directly to the Family Life Center any time of the day or night. If you arrive after 8:00pm, press the button to the right of the double doors to notify us that you are here.

Visitor Guidelines

Up to two support persons are allowed to be present with the patient. In addition to the support person(s), a doula, if desired by the patient, is permitted to be present if prior arrangements have been made with the hospital and the doula complies with hospital PPE and infection control guidelines.

August 1, 2021 Update

Per the Health Order, indoor visitors must show proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test result.

Any one of the following may be used to show vaccination:

  • COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card (issued by the Department of Health and Human Services Centers for Disease Control & Prevention or WHO Yellow Card)
  • Photo of Vaccination Record Card as separate document
  • Photo of the visitor’s Vaccination Record Card stored on a phone or electronic device
  • Documentation of COVID-19 vaccination from a healthcare provider
  • Digital record that includes QR code that when scanned by a SMART Health Card reader displays the person’s name, date of birth, vaccine date(s) and vaccine type

* If partially vaccinated or unvaccinated, visitors must show a negative COVID-19 test result from within the past 72 hours including visitors 12 years of age and older. For those visitors under the age of 12, a negative COVID-19 test result must be provided.

* All visitors are required to wear well-fitting, surgical or double cloth masks.

Patients whose visitors are exempt from this order: patients in critical condition or end-of-life care, maternity patients in labor, pediatric patients age 17 and younger, and patients with disabilities.
